ATEC* Biodigesters (ATEC), an Australian Social Enterprise, has raised US$1,600,000 in a Series-B equity round to rollout the world’s first PAYGO (pay-as-you-go) model for biodigesters as well as to expand its operations from Cambodia to Bangladesh.

 

he investment was made by a consortium of investors, led by ENGIE Rassembleurs d’Energies and consisting of Fondation Ensemble, IIX Growth Fund and Phitrust Asia.

Breaking News of December, 2019

ENGIE Rassembleurs d'Energies, the ENGIE B.Corp corporate fund, acknowledges the climate emergency and signs the B Lab climate Manifesto. This ambition notably aims for carbon neutrality by 2030.

Rassembleurs d'Energies undertakes to disseminate within its organization a philosophy and behaviors in line with the objectives and will endeavor to promote them among its stakeholders.

Breaking News of September 18, 2019

ENGIE Rassembleurs d'Energies has finalized the acquisition of a minority stake in a fundraising event organized by Gecco, a company in the social and solidarity economy sector that collects and recovers waste from the catering sector in the North of France for more than 10 years. Gecco has established a local sector for the recovery of used food oils in biofuel and bio-lubricant.

News "Les Echos" of October 09, 2019

Created in 2007, the company has developed with the University of Lille-I a process for the transformation of used cooking oils into biofuel. With € 1.3 million in funding, Gecco is building a new unit that will increase its production capacity from 400 to 5,000 liters of biodiesel per day.

ENGIE Rassembleurs d'Energies has recently been certified B Corp ™ by B Lab. The investment fund with social and environmental impact of ENGIE is thus the first subsidiary of the Group to join the community of B Corp companies, numbering 63 in France.

During the last quarter of 2018, ENGIE's Rassembleurs d'Énergies fund invested in 2  companies: the first, ENVIROFIT, in the diffusion of clean cooking solutions around the world and the second, FRONTIER MARKETS, in the distribution on the last mile of solar appliances in rural areas in India.

On 18 and 19 December 2017, ENGIE Rassembleurs d'Energies brought together for the first time all entrepreneurs in its portfolio. This meeting was an opportunity for them to exchange their best practices with each other but also to benefit from the expertise and know-how of ENGIE teams who came to participate in the different workshops on impact measurement, governance and control, financing or the legal framework and human resources. 

On this occasion Isabelle Kocher, Paulo Almirante and the other members of the investment committee were able to meet each of the entrepreneurs from four continents and discuss with them their business models and their experience in the field of access to sustainable energy for everyone.
